Let's see -- my favorite educational technology. Well, I've heard a lot about web quests, but I haven't really worked with them myself. What I do find interesting is the use of "Forums" within the context of online course management systems. I am currently working to determine how best to have these be authentic learning tools (rather than something that is seen as "just another assignment to complete") When members of the cohort become actively engaged in a posted discussion question, I am excited to see this level of involvement.
I really have become interested in the use of GoogleEarth. I find it very interactive as well as visually stimulating. I just learned today that there is a new feature that allows people to view Ancient Roman buildings, 3D replications that people can explore and view in relation to present-day Rome. I really think that this is a wonderful tool not only for Geography, but also History. :)
